Nomad Technics performs AOG work on a Bombardier Global 6000 after Covid-19 parking

August 26, 2020

Basel, Switzerland, August 26, 2020 - Nomad Technics has performed AOG work on a Bombardier Global 6000 business jet which has been parked for several weeks at the company’s Basel facility during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The maintenance team carried out a ground test on the aircraft on the evening before the scheduled departure the following morning to make sure the jet was ready for the flight. During the inspection Nomad Technics’ mechanics discovered a flight control issue which prompted the aircraft to be on AOG. The AOG support team immediately ordered the required parts, coordinated the shipment by taxi, prepared work orders and called-in engineers for the night shift. In less than twelve hours, from the time the fault was reported to the delivery of the aircraft, the business jet was released back to service timely so the owner could take off as planned.

„We are excited that our team has reacted quickly and in a professional manner to deal with the AOG event”, says Estelle Thorin, Director Sales & Project Management at Nomad Technics. „This is what our customers can expect: Bespoke services and Swiss excellence for Global Nomads”, adds Roman Hug, VP/General Manager of Nomad Technics.
