Nomad Technics provides AOG support to an operator of a Bombardier CL650 in Malaga, Spain

August 13, 2019

Nomad Technics successfully provided AOG support to an operator of a Bombardier Challenger 650 at the International Airport of Malaga, Spain.

On Saturday afternoon Nomad Technics received an AOG call from Bombardier that a customer’s Challenger 650 was in a non-flyable condition at Malaga’s International Airport. The aircraft manufacturer dispatched a dedicated “Bombardier Response Team” Challenger 300 to Basel to fly a technician and tools to Malaga the same evening. Repair work started immediately after landing with the hydraulic leak on the landing gear located. Spare parts were ordered on early Sunday morning. A second mechanic arrived in Malaga from Switzerland with special tools and test equipment on Sunday afternoon to further proceed with the repair. After successful tests the aircraft could return to service and was handed over to the satisfied customer on Sunday evening.

„We are proud that we have completed the AOG event on the Challenger 650 with an extremely short reaction time during the weekend”, says Roman Hug, VP/General Manager of Nomad Technics. „Thanks to the flexibility of the engineers and the short communication channels we could rectify the defect to the full satisfaction of the customer”, adds Heinz Koehli, Executive Chairman of Nomad Aviation.
